by Jane Goodall.
I enjoyed this book much more than I thought I was going to. It was simply written, but clear and effective. Jane Goodall’s life balanced the life of the chimpanzees, especially in the beginning, when I didn’t know the individuals yet. But as I got further into the book, I started to care for the individual chimps, and there was more information on them. It was very satisfying, interesting, and even compelling.
Sort of a funny thing–one of the chimps prominent throughout the book was Flo, an old, ugly, female chimpanzee. There was a picture of her, and my dad came home one evening and I looked up at him and realized that he resembled Flo.
Anyway, good book.
