A while ago, Dillon and I were asked to give the opening and closing prayer for a session of stake conference (a church meeting). Later, I learned that a member of the quorum of the twelve apostles was going to be at that meeting, Elder M. Russell Ballard. That made me a little nervous to give the prayer. The meeting was especially inspiring, uplifting, and felt directed to us. When I gave the closing prayer, I did fine, and then I got to shake Elder Ballard’s hand. It was an amazing evening.
I feel so blessed to have the quorum of the twelve apostles restored to this earth at this time. It’s exciting to have the leaders of our church able to receive revelation directly from the Lord. Prophets exist today as they did in ancient times–and I was able to shake hands with one of them and hear his voice speaking to me just a few feet away!
