Christianity is all about people changing.
Think of Jesus Christ’s words:
And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Luke 5:31-21)
I was also thinking about Paul. He was once a persecutor of the church, but became converted. And I was thinking about Alma, from the Book of Mormon, who was also a persecutor of the church and became converted and taught the gospel to the people.
I can’t think of anywhere else in the world are such strong examples of people completely changing their nature. It happens in Christianity because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, because He has provided a way for us to change. Really and truly change, to be “born again.”
That’s why I’m glad to be Christian–because change means hope.
