Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

My library just got e-books. And while the selection isn’t that big, they had a few recent releases. Like Chaos of Stars by Kiersten White, which was really good. After reading that, I browsed some more and I saw this book. I had heard of Brandon Sanderson, but I hadn’t read any of his books yet. So I checked this one out.

Imagine an apocalyptic world, but instead of zombies or an evil government, there are superheroes. And the superheroes are all evil.

Yup. Isn’t that about the best idea you have ever heard in your life?

I loved Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. I loved it so much. I haven’t felt this way about a book in a long time.

Not only is the idea awesome, but it was awesomely executed. The characters were all so original and quirky and wonderful. And the plot . . . I really though I had things all figured out. But no! I actually had figured certain things out, and I felt a certain thrill from being right. But then the surprises really started coming. It was so awesome.

I wish I had written this book, or something similar. I loved it so much that I am staying up late to review this book for you because I am so excited about it. (Staying up late for me has little to do with what time it is. It’s only 9:22, after all, but BB is asleep. And if he asleep and I am not in bed, I feel like I am staying up late.)

That is all.

  1. Sanderson is fantastic. Go read Elantris, too. If you like that, invest the time in the Mistborn trilogy, which is…probably my favorite trilogy ever.
