I am posting this because I just made these I want to remember them for the future. Because one always needs more brownie recipes, apparently (I have a whole section of them in my recipe book).
- 1/2 cup butter (or 1 stick)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup of cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup flour
- 2 Hershey candy bars (just the chocolate ones)
Melt butter. Combine with sugar; add in vanilla, cocoa powder, and salt and stir. Beat eggs and stir those in. Then stir in the flour. Take the candy bars and hit them hard so they are all crunched up into lots of little pieces. Put the pieces of candy in the brownie mix and stir.
Preheat oven to 350, but do that at the beginning. Put brownie mix in a muffin tin and bake for somewhere around 17 minutes. Or do it in an 8-inch square for about 30 minutes.
The candy bars melt, but they make the brownies very rich. So this is a brownie recipe when you want brownies to taste like candy bars, not when you when you want something light and fluffy. Not that brownies are ever light and fluffy.
