Family Life

Fireworks

In Utah, we celebrate Pioneer Day, so fireworks last for most of the month of July. Since my kids had never really seen fireworks before, we had to do some.

Even though they allow aerial fireworks, we just did little ones. It was better for little kids. And easier. And cheaper. And exactly what I did when I was young.

We’ve had a lot of fireworks shows in our driveway over the years. I remember how excited I was when I got old enough to light fireworks myself. This year I even had to light one, just because. MM lit one too, with help from her Grandpa Ray, who was the one who put on the show. My brother Ben and his family was also there to enjoy it. Fireworks=summer.

I have more photos than I’m sticking on my other blog, edgeofshade.com.

  1. It is so much fun to see MM & BB do the fireworks for the first time. We are doing fine, and I have called a new counselor. We are making plans for the Primary Sacrament Meeting Presentation. Christaline is helping with talks and spotlights. Me and Daniel took the boys to Cub Scout Day Camp. There must have been over a hundred boys at the event. It was fun. Levi is in the process of moving up. The main thing is that we are progressing. I wish I had gotten your address before you moved. Miss you and love you all.
