I’m still pretending I’m on vacation. This has been a really long vacation to my parents’ house: two months now, actually. But it still feels a lot like a vacation because I’m not in my normal routine at my own house.
We’ve done a lot of fun things here, some of which I have pictures of below. I hope we never have to job search again, but things are working out for us. Heavenly Father does provide. I’ll let you know more about it when we know more about it, since it’s still somewhat up in the air.
And without further ado, pictures.
Swimming in the backyard. I used to go down a slip’n’slide a lot when we were young. Ben was the one who had to test it out first when we were young. My kids enjoyed it, though when MM tried to run down it, it didn’t work out so well.
We gave my mom a new waffle iron for her birthday. It was much better than her old one. We also surprised her with a new phone. She thought she didn’t need one, but she did. I have the hardest time surprising people, but I managed to keep it a secret until it came.
We went to the county fair, though we didn’t take many pictures. We were sort of in a bad mood because we had locked the keys in the car before. The door hadn’t shut all the way and Dillon got a long stick and managed to unlock it, but it was not a good start to the day.
