Summer Adventures

I’m still pretending I’m on vacation. This has been a really long vacation to my parents’ house: two months now, actually. But it still feels a lot like a vacation because I’m not in my normal routine at my own house.

We’ve done a lot of fun things here, some of which I have pictures of below. I hope we never have to job search again, but things are working out for us. Heavenly Father does provide. I’ll let you know more about it when we know more about it, since it’s still somewhat up in the air.

And without further ado, pictures.

Swimming in the backyard. I used to go down a slip’n’slide a lot when we were young. Ben was the one who had to test it out first when we were young. My kids enjoyed it, though when MM tried to run down it, it didn’t work out so well.

Ben and his family were living in Salt Lake for the summer so we got together quite a lot. MM and this little girl became quite good friends. img_4448

Grandpa Ray loves our little baby. SR smiles the most when he is playing patty cake with Grandpa Ray. img_4459

We gave my mom a new waffle iron for her birthday. It was much better than her old one. We also surprised her with a new phone. She thought she didn’t need one, but she did. I have the hardest time surprising people, but I managed to keep it a secret until it came.

We went to the county fair, though we didn’t take many pictures. We were sort of in a bad mood because we had locked the keys in the car before. The door hadn’t shut all the way and Dillon got a long stick and managed to unlock it, but it was not a good start to the day. img_6077

We also went to the Hogle Zoo. The next day, while in the car going somewhere else, BB said, “See animals? Dinosaurs?” He wanted to go back. img_6141

  1. Looks like lots of fun! Thank you for the letter and picture that MM sent. I am sending her a card Monday. Primary is progressing. Ann Hancock has just been called as a Den leader. Me and Dan are helpers and are there to fill in the blanks. She has really done well with helping her boys get their badges in scouting. I am excited to have a parent on board. She says the boys are much better behaved, and the family is having fun doing scouting adventures. Now for the Sacrament Evening Presentation and Trunk or Treat. I pray for you for Dillion to get the right job and all to go well. I can’t believe how much SR is starting to smile. He is so cute! Give Mae and Bo a hug for me. Love, Nancy Lee
