MM is named after a pioneer ancestor and she wanted to find her ancestor, so we went to Martin’s Cove.
First we had to stop by Independence Rock, my favorite part of the trip. It’s so much fun to climb. And it had rained, so there were puddles for the kids to play in.
They loved seeing all the names. They kept getting excited to see names, even though the rock is covered in them.
MM found her ancestor.
And they even had a little handcart for them to push.
Except for small children are not good at pushing handcarts.
The only problem with the trip is that I didn’t pack a lunch and we ended up breaking out the emergency food supply of dum dums and fruit snacks. But we had fun.
