(written in August 2015)
We don’t have to be good enough. Jesus Christ already paid the price. He already did everything that was necessary. Good will prevail and evil will fail; that is already in place. We cannot mess it up.
When we choose to follow Jesus Christ, He doesn’t care if we are very strong and capable. He cares more that we are meek and humble. None of us are strong, and we do not need our own strength anyway. We will always fail in our own strength, but we prevail in the strength of the Lord.
God shows us our weakness not to condemn us, but because He knows how much happier we will be if we repent and change.
We cannot always control the trials that come to us, but we can control how we act. If we struggle with small things, what matters is that we keep trying, we keep striving to get stronger and get better at the things that keep defeating us.
And we will come out okay if we trust in Him.
